MINISTRIES

Taking Care of One Another

Part of our life together as a church is taking care of each other. In addition to our Adult, Youth, and Children's Ministries there are many unofficial ways we take care of one another, whether it be visiting sick congregants in the hospital, sitting and listening to one another, or bringing meals to those who are struggling.

Kids Are Important To Us

Our children's ministries are not just babysitting during the service; we seek to teach the Gospel to the next generation of leaders in the Church. We offer children's church during the 10:00 am service and nursery care. All Children's Ministry volunteers have received PA Child Abuse safety clearances and have undergone Ministry Safe abuse prevention training. We employ best practices to ensure the safety of our children.

Godly Play: Godly Play is a children's Sunday School curriculum based upon the Montessori method of teaching. We've just begun it this year and the children love it!

Mid-Week Playgroup: We host a playgroup every Wednesday from 10:30-12:00

Feel free to contact Tracey Russell at tracey@trinitywashpa.org with any questions.

Adult Ministry

Bible Study: We are going to go through 100 bible passages in the Old and New Testaments that give a sense of the overarching biblical story. Each week we will cover one or two passages from a book in the Bible, and make our way through all 100. This way, people can join the study at any time, and not feel they are “behind” in the study. Plus, those who make a commitment to attending the whole study will get a real overview of the Bible. This study continues Thursdays from 1:30 pm to 3 pm.

Supper Clubs: We have 4 Supper Clubs running-and the members are having a blast getting together for dinner! Would you like to join or start a Supper Club? These are monthly fellowship groups we are starting. Talk to the Rectors or sign up by sending an email to: rector@trinitywashpa.org.

Service Teams: There are lots of ways adults can use their gifts for ministry at TCW. Currently, we have opportunities to serve on: the Intercessory Prayer Team, the Altar Guild, the Buildings and Grounds Committee, the Sunday Service Team which includes Acolytes, Ushers, and Readers, the Card Ministry team, the Children’s Church and Nursery team, and the Volunteer Staff Team.

Service to the Community: We have opportunities to serve our ministry partners at City Mission and Resurrection Power homes each month.

Community Garden: We have a community garden! God has blessed us with a plot of good soil and a lot of helping hands. We are putting these gifts to good use to grow vegetables and cultivate relationships that matter Since 2021 we have been supplying the City Mission with fresh vegetables and herbs.

Addiction Recovery: We host and have connections to a number of 12 Step Recovery programs. For more information, contact the office at 724-222-0740.
